BIOGRAFIA

King Diamond, cujo nome verdadeiro é Kim Bendix Petersen (Copenhaga, 14 de junho de 1956) é um cantor dinamarquês de heavy metal, conhecido por sua extensão vocal. Sua primeira banda foi a Black Rose e em 1980 ele formou o Mercyful Fate. King Diamond sempre usa maquiagem pesada em apresentações que são bastante teatrais. Seus álbuns musicais sempre contam histórias de horror. A história de todas as suas vozes é um pouco dramatizada. Dizem alguns fanáticos que em uma festa de amigos ele queria fazer um pacto com satanás. Entretanto, seus amigos desprezaram essa possibilidade. Mesmo assim, mais tarde na festa, ele começou o ritual. Oito garrafas de wisk explodiram em cima de um piano, daí suas oito vozes. “King Diamond é o mestre.”
